Does anybody know the family address in Valletta, Malta, of the late Fr. Lewis Mitzzi OFM who was the Parish Priest in Luanshya just after Fr. Fritz O'Kelly OFM, in the early 1970s.

I was in Valletta, Malta and I tried to locate Fr. Lewis's family but the Telephone Directory was just full of Mitzzis.

I just want to let his family know how much my wife (Marie) and I respected Fr. Lewis and how great a Priest he was.

Please help if you can.

Regards

It was good of me learning that yo do have website.I work for Zesco-Mpika branch.Youre very good customer whom hold in high esteem.
Your concern to uplift the standard of poor people is second to non .
Indeed good religion is to look after the poor, the widows and the orphans .
I do look foward to the day that you will establish a community radio station.
This too can help inform to uplift the living standards of the people in our area.

God can be seen by the spiriually blind through good works like what you do too.

In paragraph 1036, the 1992 "Catechism of the Catholic Church" infallibly defines the doctrine that the eternally lost are many; and the eternally saved are few - even among Catholics. It does so by quoting Matthew 7:13-14. In Matthew 7:13-14 Christ is clearly saying that few Catholics are saved, since he is clearly speaking to those who hear and know him. The doctrine that few Catholics are saved, only involves those who have reached the age of reason, and can choose between good and evil. All who die as baptized infants are saved. A catechism is a summary of doctrine. The "Catechism of the Catholic Church" is a universal catechism, imposed on the Universal Church, by Pope John Paul 11. A Pope cannot impose errant doctrine on the Universal Church. Therefore, the doctrine that few Catholics are saved, is infallible. The Saints always taught that few Catholics are saved, therefore, people made greater efforts to save their souls. As a result, many souls were saved. The Saints always pointed out that Matthew 7:13-14 teaches that few Catholics are saved. I believe that it is time for us to follow the example of the Saints, and to defend the doctrine that the lost are many and the saved are few - even among Catholics.

To everybody in the diocese!
After a long time I am sending the deepest greetings to the diocese, especially to the bishop and to all the workers! In these days of mourning for the dead Pope John Paul II. I am living inside the walls of the Vatican city and experience the geratest gathering of mass media and believers I have ever seen! Yesterday I went into the sala clementine and had my personal farewell of this great person!
I wish the diocese and all their workers a successful growing in the faith and a great time under the coming pontificate.
All the best from inside the vatican

Thank you for having such a lovely website. I was having such trouble trying to find Chinsali, so it was wonderful to find you. My beloved sister-in-law, Sister Della Bannon, has just relocated there with the Sisters of Charity from Meheba Refuge Settlement. If anyone has met her yet and wants to correspond with me, I would be thrilled to hear from you or from her if she has internet access. I will happily check in periodically to see what is happening there. Sincerely, Susan Bannon P.S. God Bless You All!

Hallo Herr Pfarrer Thomas Matthaei ,

? You are my spirit, you are my being, you are mi unity.
? All of thy body, thy soul and thy spirit are filled with my creation, because thou art the great work of art from my hands.
? Join then thy hands with mine and in a prayer of silence and you will feel the presence of thy father in the love with Beni Elohim (children of God).
? You will lnow that there is only one creator, that is both father and mother because he has engendered and conceived you.
? Without me there is no life, without me there is no way, without me, there is no truth, because I am the life, I am the way and the truth, because the Beni Elohim carry my signs in all his body, soul and spirit, and as the universe, thou are full of my signs, so I say unto you, I am the great sign.
? I have come so that this time thy eyes not only see the flesh but the flesh that is light and to insure that Elohim has the word of God and that he fulfils it.
? It was said unto you that in the last times thy eyes would see signs, others would sound those signs, while others would hear these signs. So it is and shall be, that the return of Elohim, thou will feel in thy hearts without fear because thou will have recognized the presence of thy father, thy spirit in one joy and happiness and will shout, God the Father, God the Son on earth, because we are one and so it is written.
? Thou art the door of the world. I say to you that I am the door to the heavens and I will open it to my children because we are one and you will come unto me.
? Because I have come to sing a new song, my voice with thy voices and in spite of what thou are passing in these days of tribulation; in the new order which are the same new heavens, will be seen by thy eyes of light, because so I have promised you and Elohim fulfils his promises. I was the first and I will be with the last, I will heal thy wounds and I will dry thy tears because thou art my children.
? I have come to break the prisons of the soul and of the spirit because I am the freedom of my children, I have come to open thy blind eyes to my light so that you can see and feel that it is the only true light and will rejoice in seeing it. I have come to make you walk because thy feet have been walking erroneously in a way that is not mine and I will teach you and you will walk it together with me.
? I have come so that my holy blood be thy sacred grail, in thy bodies, so that the mysteries on earth that are not mysteries in the heavens be revealed to thy eyes and understanding.
? Because thou have strong fingers and powerful steady hands, thou are the muscles and tendons of my powerful arm, because thou are the retina of my eyes, when they look for you full of love, justice and mercy.
? Because I am the only one that can transform thy heart of flesh to heart of light, these are the good news I bring you.
? I am the new love, the new justice, the new mercy, all will come to me because so it is written even before this generation was born, the son looks for his father.
? Thou are the messiah in thy lives because thou art my chosen ones and I give thee the blessing of my Holy Spirit.
? I am the great silence and thou art the silence. The day has come when the heavens have joined with the earth because I am here among you, because it is no longer time to preach, as it was done for two thousand times, no, now is the time to reap what is ripe and I have come to reap together with those called angels which are also thy brothers and Beni Elohim.
? I am the father of the sons and the son among the sons. I am the all powerful Elohim who comes to plant new seeds of light.
? Thou art the sons of my love and justice, of my mercy and my truth and I have come to look for you to give you the eternal peace and harmony you so much desire.
? The good news are that I am with you, the great face of all faces.
? I give thee my blessing saying to thee and I have covered long and short roads to come to see you, although I have always been with you, but now that I am among you, my heart beats in unison with thine and when you read these good news, thy heart will feel that it has born again. So I have written and this is my saying. Love to the Beni Elohim.
? Elohim Hadonai Gebor Yeshua el Gebor

At the time our home looks more like a warehouse of med. equipment. We have been overwhelmed with donations, and there are still more coming. Is there anyone who can give us some tips about the shipping from Australia to Zambia? The container is planned to be shipped end Feb./March 2005. Would like to hear from anyone who has had good or bad experience. It is always good to know which pitfalls can turn up on the way. Look forward to hear from one or another.

I used to live in Mpika from 1976-1979 just opposite the Katholic Church and I new Father Konrad (from Odenwald) and Father .... very well. My husband and i where members of the German Develompent Service and besides this two Fathers and another volunteer we were the only muzungus in this area (there were teachers from Britain but they lived at the school compound. When I read your homepage I was very surprised about all the activities and I am now very curious and would like to visit.
I have been in Zambia many many times but since my job required visits in Lusaka and the Gwembe Valley I never managed to go back to Mpika. Now I am planning to pay a visit in March 05. Would it be possible to stay at your place for up to three nights?
Looking forward hearing from you.

I wonder if anyone could help me to contact my very old friend Rita Doran of Luanshya who attended Bulawayo Convent in 1949 (and a little before and after). She married and went to live in South Africa. She had at least two children, girls called Treasure and Fern. It would mean so much to me now, at 71, to make contact with her again. She sang like an angel and looked very Irish with dark hair and freckles! Please help if you can. Many thanks.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of Mr Astone Sinkala of Mpulungu? He was the Chief Security Officer of Mpulungu Harbour in 1995 and gave us a tour of the Liemba. The sister ship of the Liemba is the one that was used for the film "African Queen". We would like to meet up with Astone on our visit in June 2005.

She did catch up with us when she came to Australia in October 1995 just before leaving for Uganda. We would appreciate if anyone can inform us about her whereabouts and how she is going. She used to work at some time in the Copperbelt. Peace be with you Edeltraud Baker

Would appreciate some information what is needed in regards of help. We are willing to put effort in to help where ever we can, because we love Zambia and it's people.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the Christians of Chilonga Parish for the love they had shown me during my Thanksgiving Mass in our Parish. Thanks to all the members of the Church Council for making our day a success. Please be assured of my prayers. I would like to thank all the clergy of Mpika diocese for their presence and support. You are very special to me. Thanks for your presence at the celebration of my Thanksgiving Mass in our Parish.
Rt. Rev. Bishop Mpundu, I thank you for your fatherly support and for allowing me to come home to share the joy of my priestly ordination in our diocese of Mpika.
You have always been a source of inspiration and support in my life, especially during my priestly formation. May God bless and protect you as you shepherd his people.
Thanks to my Parish Priest, Fr.Waldemar. You did everything for me. Firstly, you came all the way from Chilonga to attend my ordination in Pretoria. You prepared such a memorable Mass at Chilonga Parish. All our visitors were very impressed and inspired by your fatherly love and support you gave me. You are very special to me and I will never forget to pray for you. May God guide and support you in your priestly ministry.
May God bless our diocese with more vocations to Priesthood and Religious Life.

Greetings from Yorkshire England,I hope you are all well. I wondered if you would be kind enough to send a message to Bishop Mpundu and/or Father Thomas for us?. We have been trying to get in touch directly by e-mail and by letter but have not had a reply, so we are concerned and hope that all is well with them. We sent some funds earlier this year and need to know that they reached Mpika safely. Also we are planning on raising some funds to help the orphans of Mpika and would like some help/feedback in planning our projects. Is there anyone who could keep in touch with us on a fairly regular basis who could help to co-ordinate between here and Mpika?. We would be grateful for any help or advice that you can give us. God bless you all for your good work.
Kind Regards, June Matley & Jennipher Musakanya.

lovely website.
I came across this a few times as I have been reading about Mpika and the Kopa region. Thought I would read the guestbook. Very interesting.
our daughter, michelle is visiting Mpika in mid- July on her way to the Kopa World Vision project. We have a sponsored child there and as she is in Africa for a couple of months she has decided to come to Zambia to visit her. She will stay at Mpika one night on the way and one night on the way back. My husband and I are musicians at our local church in Holy Spirit Parish Bangalow/ Byron Bay which is on the east coast of Australia, in the state of New South Wales. Thanks for your great site.

I am a Zambian Oblate studying theology at the Gregorian Univeristy in Rome, Italy. I was very impressed by the Diocese of Mpika website. I was moreover impressed to note the major developmental projects that the Right Rev. T.G. Mpundu, Bishop of Mpika, has carried out. Within a short period of time he managed to move the diocese from Mbala to a more central place Mpika, which makes administration of the diocese much easier and possible. For this I wish to commend Bishop Mpundu for his exceptional leadership skills to the Church in Zambia. Such determination demonstrates that there is potential for the Church in Zambia implying that a lot will be achieved in the diocese and the country as preaching the good news of Jesus Christ to the poor and abandoned. Best wishes to Bishop Mpundu and his flock, the the people of the Diocese of Mpika.
